Officers are appealing for witnesses or any motorists with relevant dashcam to come forward following a dangerous driving incident in the Bere Regis and Blandford area.
At around 7.10pm on Wednesday 17 June 2026 officers attempted to stop a green Ford Fiesta in the area of Winterborne Kingston near Bere Regis.
The vehicle is reported to have been driving at speed and in a dangerous manner as it travelled along Rook Lane to Winterbourne Whitechurch and then southbound along the A354 to Milborne St Andrew. It is then reported to have turned along Milton Road to Milton Abbas and onto Bulbarrow Hill.
It was reported that the car was subsequently found abandoned having left the carriageway in the area of Stoke Lane in Stoke Wake, with the two occupants reportedly having left on foot.
Searches were carried out and three people were located in another vehicle nearby.
Two men, aged 21 and 27 and both of Weymouth, were arrested on suspicion of driving offences and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. A 33-year-old Weymouth man was also arrested on suspicion of driving offences and perverting the course of justice. All three men remain in police custody at this time.
Police Sergeant Sam Kinsella, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting detailed enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage that might assist our investigation.”
